Iceland Stuns England 2-1 in Euro Round of 16
England's Euro 2016 journey came to an abrupt end on Monday night as they were stunned 2-1 by Iceland in the Round of 16 at the Allianz Riviera in Nice.
Iceland took a shock lead in the 4th minute through Ragnar Sigurdsson, but Wayne Rooney equalized for England just 10 minutes later. However, Kolbeinn Sigthorsson restored Iceland's lead shortly after, and England were unable to find an equalizer despite throwing everything at the Iceland defense. The result means that Iceland progress to the quarter-finals, where they will face France, while England's Euro 2016 campaign is over.
