Canada Loses to Morocco in 2022 World Cup Match
Canada was defeated by Morocco 2-1 in the 2022 FIFA World Cup match.
Hakim Ziyech and Youssef En-Nesyri scored goals for Morocco, while Canada's lone goal was scored by Nayef Aguerd (own goal).
The match was played at the Al Thumama Stadium. Canada had a few chances to score in the match, but they failed to capitalize. Morocco, on the other hand, took their chances and scored two goals in the first half. Canada pulled one back in the second half, but it was not enough to get them back to level terms.
This is Canada's first loss at the 2022 World Cup. They had previously drawn with Croatia and Belgium.
